Intellectual property rights
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on our site. - The Quaker Bakers recipe competition is open to all UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 and over, excluding employees and their immediate families of Quaker Oats (the “Promoter”), its affiliated companies, their agents or other persons professionally connected with the draw.
- By taking part in this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
- To enter the competition, entrants must upload their Quaker Bakers recipe idea (together with any image(s) uploaded forming a "Submission") at www.quaker.co.uk/recipes. You may enter as many different submissions into the competition as you like, as long as the same (or substantially similar) submission is not submitted more than once within the competition entry period. Identical or substantially similar entries will be declared void and will not be entered into the competition.
- For the purposes of this competition the person uploading the Submission will be deemed the "Entrant".
- As conditions of entry into this competition by uploading a recipe, you the entrant:
- Warrant and represent that you own all rights to the Submission, including, without limitation, the recipe details and image you may have uploaded.
- Warrant and represent that your Submission: (a) is original to you and has been legally obtained and created, (b) does not infringe the intellectual property or any other legal or moral rights of any third party; (c) has not been published previously in any medium.
- Irrevocably grant to the Promoter and its affiliates, assigns, agents and licensees, the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to (as appropriate), reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, display adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), your and submission, including any photographs as well as any additional photographic images or other materials relating to you and arising out of your participation in this competition (with or without using your name) (collectively, the "Additional Materials") in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party.
- Forever waive any rights of privacy, intellectual property rights, and any other legal or moral rights that may preclude the promoter's use of your submission or additional materials, or require your permission for the promoter to use them for any purpose, and agree to never sue or assert any claim against the promoter use of the submission or additional materials.

- The opening date of the competition is 2nd February 2012 and the closing date is the 30th September 2012. No entries will be accepted after this date, all entries will be judged with the terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves all right to adjust the competition dates as necessary.
- SUBMISSION CRITERIA: Submissions must comply with the following terms and conditions to qualify as a valid submission:
- Your submission must be in English.
- Your submission (including any uploaded image(s)) must not contain or refer to any branded food or beverage products other than Quaker products; it must not contain or reference any third party names, logos and/or trademarks.
- Once you complete and submit your submission it shall be treated as final. Submissions will be reviewed for content before being judged; however, such review does not relieve you from responsibility for compliance with these terms and conditions. Submissions that do not comply with these terms and conditions or that otherwise contain prohibited, or inappropriate content as determined by the Promoter, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be considered eligible. Promoter makes the final determination as to which submissions are eligible to take part in this competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Each submission must be suitable for display and publication, any submissions containing inappropriate material will not be entered into the competition. .
- Further to the above the promoter may, in its sole discretion, remove, delete and/or disqualify submissions deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant at anytime.
- JUDGING CRITERIA: In relation to the selection of the winners all valid Submissions will be judged against the following judging criteria ("Judging Criteria"):

- Delivers appetite appeal
- Entrants have a choice to upload an image with their recipe submission; however this will not form part of the judged entry.
- Entrants will be judged by a Quaker panel.
- The Judging Criteria with respect to the recipe submission is as follows:
- There will be 1 winner per month throughout the term of the competition, up until the closing date of the competition on 20th September. Each monthly winner will receive a luxury hamper.
- All winners will be selected from all of the valid Submissions received by the end of the applicable calendar month. Monthly winners will be chosen within 7 working days of the last day of the month, only entries made in that month will be eligible for the monthly prize. Entries will be judged in accordance with the Judging Criteria set out above by the Quaker judging panel, which includes an independent adjudicator.
- The monthly winners will be notified by email by no later than one week after the closing date. The prize must be claimed within one month of notification. All reasonable effort will be made to contact a winner, however, if the prize is not claimed within one month of notification, an alternative winner will be chosen.
- The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed, telecommunications or technical error. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt. All entries submitted online are subject to moderation before being given approval to appear on the site. Approved entries will usually appear on the competition website within 3 working days.
- Multiple entries are accepted. No bulk, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted.
- The prizes are non-transferable, non refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The decisions of the promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering into the competition and accepting a prize you agree to participate in related and reasonable publicity at the request of the promoter without further recompense. Competition winners will also have their photo, name and county displayed on the website.
- If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, promoter reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
- If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, modify or terminate the competition.
- Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant deemed to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the competition or any promoter website; (b) violating these competition rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines on the website, or (d) otherwise acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

- Any Entrant that successfully that 1) recommends a friend; and/or 2) gives feedback on a recipe; and/ or 3) submits a recipe of his or her own, is entitled to redeem a £1 off coupon off a full price Quaker product.
- Entrants are entitled and limited to 1 coupon per action completed; this could result in a maximum total of 3 coupons for successful completion of tasks 1,2 and 3.

- An invite to a recipe cook-off in the prestigious Good Housekeeping test kitchens in London on 20th July 2012.
The cook off includes: - Welcome tea and coffee and a light lunch with Quaker representatives and Joy Skipper, home economist. Finalists to be provided with their own work station and given 1.5 hours to cook their dish. Judges will then taste the finalists’ dishes and announce the winner.
- The selected winners must be able to attend on this date and will be responsible for their own transport to and from the venue.
- The cook-off contestants will be included in a Quaker Oats advertorial which will appear in the November 2012 issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine. This will feature images from the cook off and an image of the winning dish. All finalists will appear on the page. The November issue of Good Housekeeping is on sale 1 October 2012 – 1 November 2012.
- Any ingredients or equipment needed for the cook-off will be provided within the Good Housekeeping test Kitchen, any additional requirements should be outlined upon notification of winning.
- Imagery and feature of the winning entry within Good Housekeeping is at the discretion of Hearst Communications, Inc and maybe removed or revoked at any time.
- The prizes are non-transferable, non refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility in relation to the prize, the prize winners’ conduct once the prize is claimed by the winners.
